According to the statement made by YÖDAK, Kurdistan Regional Government Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ahmed, members of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation and Scholarship Commission Director and CIU Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. He visited YÖDAK together with Gürkan Doğan. The meeting was attended by YÖDAK President Prof. Dr. It was held upon the invitation of Turgay Avcı to Maqsood Mohamed, Head of International Relations, Ministry of Higher Education, Kurdish Regional Government, Erbil, in November 2023. The main purpose of the meeting was to improve cooperation between the Kurdistan Regional Government and higher education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In the meeting held at the point of quality education, YÖDAK President Avcı said, “Our goal when we set out was to support all our universities without compromising quality education and to move the education sector, which is the most important sector of the island, even higher. "We are walking steadily towards this goal with our team," he said.

Avcı also emphasized the importance of student satisfaction and students returning to their countries as experts.
