Message from the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation, and Coordination Council (YODAK) on the 41st Anniversary of the Establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
We proudly celebrate the 41st anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, announced with great honor and determination on November 15, 1983, as the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation, and Coordination Council. Our Republic stands as a symbol of our commitment to freedom and independence, marking a historical turning point in which the Turkish Cypriot people declared their will to shape their own future to the world.
Over the past 41 years, our Republic has resolutely advanced in preserving its democratic values and spirit of freedom. Throughout this process, progress in education, science, and culture has strengthened our society and paved the way for a brighter future. In the field of higher education, our steps toward quality and international standards have enhanced the global recognition of our universities, contributing significantly to the advancement of our educational sector.
On this important day, we remember with gratitude the founders of our Republic, especially the late Rauf Raif Denktaş, and our Community Leader, Dr. Fazıl Küçük, as well as all those who contributed to this journey, our martyrs, and veterans. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our citizens on the occasion of November 15, Republic Day. United in solidarity, we renew our commitment to always be at the forefront of education and science, ensuring the continuous progress of our Republic.
Happy 41st Anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
