Message on World Women’s Rights Day
As the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Council (YÖDAK), we proudly celebrate December 5th, World Women’s Rights Day.
The equal participation of women in all aspects of social life is indispensable for building a sustainable future. Women’s full involvement in education, the workforce, governance, and science plays a critical role in advancing societies and strengthening individual freedoms.
One of the pioneering steps in the recognition of women’s rights was granting Turkish women the right to vote and be elected. This milestone was not merely a legal reform but also a cornerstone of social progress and equality.
On this meaningful day, we extend our deepest respect to all women who have fought for their rights and to everyone who has supported this struggle. We once again emphasize the importance of solidarity in creating a more equal, just, and brighter world.
