We Commemorate the Founding President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with Love, Respect, Gratitude, and Longing.

On the 13th anniversary of his passing, we respectfully, longingly, and gratefully remember Rauf Raif Denktaş, the Founding President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and one of the leading figures of our struggle for independence.

Rauf Raif Denktaş, who dedicated his life to the rights, freedoms, and independence of the Turkish Cypriot people, went down in history as a great leader who reshaped the destiny of a nation through his courage and leadership qualities. Thanks to his exceptional efforts and steadfast stance, the Turkish Cypriot people preserved their identity and existence, reaching the present day.

Our Founding President, who valued education and scientific development, served as a guide for the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He also inspired the field of higher education, offering a vision that significantly contributed to the country’s transformation into a respected international hub for education.

On the 13th anniversary of his passing, we once again pray for the mercy of Allah upon Mr. Denktaş and honor his cherished memory with profound gratitude. Carrying forward his legacy and working for the progress of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will remain our enduring duty.
