ENQA 2025 General Assembly Takes Place in Brussels

The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) convened its 2025 General Assembly in Brussels on 23 October 2025, hosted at the Belgian Parliament, marking the 25th anniversary of the Association’s founding. The event brought together quality assurance agencies from across Europe, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın, President of the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK).
This year’s General Assembly serves as a significant platform to discuss strategic priorities aimed at strengthening quality assurance in higher education and shaping ENQA’s future directions. The agenda includes the admission of new members, updates to ENQA’s Statutes and Rules of Procedure, approval of the 2026–2030 Strategy, adoption of the 2026 budget and work plan, as well as elections for the new Board, President, and Vice-President.
Throughout the Assembly, member agencies are reviewing joint efforts in quality assurance and exchanging views on developing a more inclusive, transparent, and sustainable quality culture for the years ahead.
Held in celebration of ENQA’s 25th anniversary, this meeting is regarded as an important and productive gathering that will shed light on the future of quality assurance systems in higher education.
