YÖDAK’s Message on the 29th of October Republic Day
The Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK) of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus proudly celebrates the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic Day on October 29.
The Republic is the symbol of the ideals of independence and freedom, the consciousness of equal citizenship, and the embodiment of contemporary values. Proclaimed on October 29, 1923, the Republic represents not merely a form of governance, but the culmination of an enlightenment movement built upon science, education, democracy, and human rights.
As YÖDAK, we are fully aware that building an educational environment grounded in quality, scientific production, free thought, and ethical values within the higher education sector is among the greatest responsibilities entrusted to us by the Republic.
On this meaningful day, we commemorate with respect, gratitude, and mercy Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk — the founder of the Republic of Türkiye — his comrades-in-arms, and all our martyrs.
Happy 102nd Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
