Message from YÖDAK on the Anniversary of the Founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
We proudly and wholeheartedly celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
November 15, 1983, stands as a symbol of the Turkish Cypriot people’s unwavering will to determine their own destiny, grounded in the principles of freedom, democracy, and self-determination. This historic day marks one of the most significant milestones in the struggle for existence and independence of the Turkish Cypriot community.
As the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK), we are committed to contributing to the scientific, academic, and cultural development of our country, and to building a modern, high-quality, and sustainable higher education system aligned with contemporary values.
On this special occasion, we respectfully commemorate Dr. Fazıl Küçük, the pioneer of the Turkish Cypriot freedom struggle, and our Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş, along with all those who devoted their lives to the cause of liberty and independence on this land.
Happy 42nd Anniversary of our Republic.
May the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus live forever.
Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK)
