Message from YÖDAK on the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day
May 19, 1919 stands as the symbol of the Turkish nation’s struggle for independence and freedom, and the strongest expression of trust in the youth. The noble struggle initiated by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with his arrival in Samsun was not only a movement of liberation, but also a historic step toward modernization, science, education, and progress.
Our youth are the future of our country, the pioneers of scientific advancement, and the driving force behind social development. Every effort undertaken in the field of higher education contributes to raising our young people as well-equipped, productive individuals committed to universal values.
On this meaningful occasion, we respectfully commemorate with gratitude and mercy all the heroes of the War of Independence, especially Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and sincerely celebrate the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day of our youth and our people.
