The Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council received the delegation of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association.

The meeting, held at the Presidency of YÖDAK, was attended by the President of YÖDAK, Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın, and Vice President Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca. Representing the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association were the Association President Türkay Uzun Sılalı, Administrative Officer Osman Asilzade, along with Celal Hasan Cin, Özden Gençalp, and Barım Erdoğan.
During the meeting held on May 22, 2026, the update process of the Renewable Energy Implementation and Inspection Regulation (YEK) was discussed. Evaluations were made regarding the ongoing studies within the scope of sustainable energy policies, and the importance of obtaining the views of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association during the amendment process of the related regulation was emphasized.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on potential collaborations between higher education institutions and sector stakeholders, the needs in technical education, and the training of qualified human resources specialized in the field of renewable energy.
