Applications Open for YÖDAK Membership
The Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK) has officially launched the application process for the election of a new Council member to be conducted by the Interuniversity Academic Coordination Council (ÜAKK), in accordance with Article 20 of the Higher Education (Amendment) Law No. 65/2005 of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Professors wishing to apply for YÖDAK membership may submit their applications to the Presidency of YÖDAK between 3 July 2026 and 17 July 2026, no later than the close of business on the final application day.
Applications will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria set forth in the relevant legislation. Candidates are required to submit complete application files.
Applicants must provide the following documents as part of their application: an application petition; a copy of their identity document; a criminal record certificate; documentation confirming the rank of professor; comprehensive curricula vitae in both Turkish and English; evaluation statements in both Turkish and English outlining their views on higher education; and any other documents required under the applicable legislation. In addition, all application documents must also be submitted electronically on a CD or USB flash drive.
YÖDAK stated that the new Council member, who will assume significant responsibilities in the planning, evaluation, accreditation, and coordination of the higher education system, will be selected by the Interuniversity Academic Coordination Council (ÜAKK) following a transparent and objective evaluation process conducted in accordance with the relevant legislation.
